How It Works: Your Path to Certification
- Purchase Your Exam Package: When you purchase this item, you are covering the cost of both the ServSafe® Exam Key and the proctoring session.
- Schedule Your Exam: After your purchase, use our online scheduler (link provided) or call us to book your exam appointment at the location of your choice (Las Vegas or Henderson).
- Prepare for Exam Day: On the day of your test, all you need to bring is a valid government-issued photo ID. We will provide the exam key for you at our facility.
- Take Your Exam: Our certified proctor will verify your ID, provide you with your exam key, and monitor your session. You can choose the computer-based (online) version for instant results or the traditional paper-and-pencil version. Please note that paper-based exams require two weeks’ advance notice at the time of scheduling.
- Receive Your Certificate: Upon passing, you will receive the nationally recognized ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certificate, valid for 5 years.
- Obtain Your Health District Card (Final Step): The Southern Nevada Health District requires you to bring your new ServSafe® certificate to their facility, where you will take and pass a final 10-question test on local regulations and pay a separate fee (currently $20) to receive your official Certified Food Safety Manager Card.

- One Proctored Exam Session: A scheduled exam administered by a certified ServSafe® Proctor at our Las Vegas or Henderson office.
- Choice of Exam Format: Choose either the online exam (instant score) or the paper exam. Note: Paper exams must be requested at least two weeks prior to your exam date.
Important Details:
- No Study Materials: This package does not include the digital or physical course book.
- Two-Test Process: This certification requires passing two separate tests: the ServSafe® exam (which we proctor) and a final local regulations test at the Health District.
- Location: All ServSafe® exams are proctored and must be taken in-person at our Las Vegas or Henderson office.
- Health District Fee: Please be aware that the Health District charges a separate, mandatory fee (currently $20) for the final test and issuance of the official Card. This fee is not included in our package price and is paid directly to them.
- Identification: A valid government-issued photo ID is required to take the exam.
